Then I get "What kind of food?"
"The kind you eat."
"What kind are we going to eat?"
"The kind you put in your mouth."
{Exasperated at this point one...} "Mom, what KIND of food are we putting in our mouth?"
{Now I am REALLY smiling} "It is the kind of food you can put in your mouth and chew."
Once this is said I get a very loud grunt and they walk away in defeat.
So, What is for dinner tonight?
Chicken Pesto with Bowtie Pasta
YUMMY! Easy! Fast! Cheap!
4-5 Boneless skinless chicken breast
2-3 tablespoons of Olive Oil
3 tablespoons of chopped/ minced garlic (fresh or jar)
Pesto- you can use a mix or the pre-made jar (about 1 cup; or a 6.35 oz jar)
salt/ pepper to taste
Bowtie pasta (1 bag)
1. Dice chicken into 1 inch cubes
2. Sautee olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper and chicken for approx. 25 minutes
3. Half way through cook pasta according to directions.
4. Drain pasta and place in large mixing bowl. Stir in pesto mix. Add cooked chicken.
Enjoy with a cesar salad and breadsticks!

OK....first off I am starting a recipe box and this was #1 on my list of recipes to ask you for...WEIRD!
